Detailed Biography of Kirsten Dunst: Full Biography
Swedish/German Kirsten Caroline Dunst was born on April 30, 1982 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, USA. Her father, Klaus Dunst is a German medical-services exec, mother is art dealer Inez Dunst. Her parents are seperated.

At the age of three, Kirsten started out in showbiz, she modeled as a child for the Eileen Ford Agency. In 1989, she landed her first movie role in a Woody Allen flick called New York Stories, she made her feature film debut, in the same year her family moved to Los Angeles.

In 1994, Kirsten got her big break in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles alongside such stars as Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, she won the Saturn award for Best Young Actress, a Golden Globe nomination, and the MTV Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. She performed her first screen kiss, at the tender age of 11, with Brad Pitt in Interview with the Vampire. In 1995, Kirsten Dunst was named one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People.

Over the next few years she played in hit movies including Little Women (1994), Jumanji (1995) and Small Soldiers (1998). Kirsten turned down the role of Angela in American Beauty (1999). She made her singing debut performing the song "Dream Of Me" from Get Over It (2001). In 2002, Kirsten was named one of Teen People magazine's 25 Hottest Stars Under 25.

In 2000, she received rave reviews for her role in Sofia Coppola's Independent film The Virgin Suicides (1999).
