Fans of Eminem’s #1 album “The Eminem Show” finally get their “Encore.” That’s the title of his new album to be released November 16th on Interscope Records. Eminem’s most recent project was “D12 World” with his band D12. The album has spawned several minor hits but nothing rivaling the success of his solo efforts. Lately, D12 has been touring without their “lead singer” as Eminem worked on his album.
Other new plans for the popular and controversial Oscar-winning rapper include a hip-hop music channel on the Sirius Satellite Radio network, where he will host acts from his Shady Records label. Another album featuring songs by Tupac Shakur but set to beats by Eminem will also come out this fall. No word yet on whether he will follow up his acting debut in “8 Mile” with more movies.
Eminem is working on his upcoming fourth album. In the fourth quarter of 2003, Eminem's fourth solo album was about half-way finished. But late last year, the majority of his songs from the album including "Bully," "Come On," "Monkey See, Monkey Do," "Love You More" and "We As Americans" were leaked and made its way onto the Internet.
Em's new album will feature guest appearances from D-12 and G-Unit and production by Eminem and Dr. Dre. It's expected to be released in the third quarter of 2004.
"I really like Slim Shady," Dr. Dre, who is executive producing the album, commented. "I like him talking shit and pissing people off. That's where he's gonna go next, talking shit and raising eyebrows."
